Blomquist was born on July 27, 1977. He graduated 2000 from the School of Communications at Elon University in North Carolina.

He is a prominent American writer of Swedish descent and has contributed to many talk shows.

Blomquist has been a staff writer for The Daily Show in 2003–2006, 2009, and 2011. He has also contributed material to Saturday Night Live, specifically for Robert Smigel’s TV Funhouse.

In addition to being a staff writer for talk shows, Blomquist has also written Earth (The Book) and The Sexy Book of Sexy Sex, co-written with his wife.
