Eminem's Daughter Hailie Jade Scott Gets Married To Evan McClintock

“And Hailie’s gettin’ so big now, you should see her, she’s beautiful…,” Eminem emotionally rapped on “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” in 2002. Now, Em has taken a tuxedo out of his closet for his daughter’s wedding. TMZ reports that Hailie Jade Scott is now a married woman after tying the knot with Evan McClintock on Saturday (May 18) in Battle Creek, MI.

Eminem can be seen in various photographs shared by the outlet, one of which shows him grooving with Hailie during the father-daughter dance. Another photo showed Em with the bride and the groom as the couple flashed a toothy smile — juxtaposed alongside Marshall’s gritty Detroit mug.

On Monday (May 20), the 28-year-old hit social media to share additional snaps from the commemoration, with pictures showing family and friends celebrating the newly married couple. The caption reads, “Waking up a wife this week. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more beautiful weekend celebration. So so many happy tears were shed, laughs & smiles were had, & so much love was felt. Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family & friends who traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband & wife.”

And while they’re not pictured, TMZ notes that Eminem wasn’t the only icon in attendance. Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine showed up to show love to Hailie’s next chapter in life, too.

As for Eminem, it appears that the emcee is gearing up to release an album signaling the end of his alter ego, Slim Shady. He first teased the upcoming project in April, releasing a trailer for the LP named, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grace), featuring a news anchor reporting on Slim’s demise.

“Through his complex and criticized tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the reporter states. “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise… Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

50 Cent then intervenes with a message denouncing the Hip-Hop icon‘s alter ego, asserting, “He’s not a friend; he’s a psychopath.” Towards the end of the teaser, the 8 Mile actor appears, saying, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

May saw the next chapter in the rollout, with an obituary for Slim Shady appearing in the Detroit Free Press newspaper. Titled “Slim Shady Made Lasting Impressions,” the sub-headline detailed that “Fans Will ‘Never Forget’ Controversial Rapper” and featured a photo of the Detroit rapper wearing a Jason Voorhees mask.

“A product of Detroit who began his career there was a rogue splinter in the flourishing underground rap scene of the mid to late 1990’s, Shady first became a household name in 1999 with the debut of his playfully deranged single ‘My Name Is,’ which — along with its uniquely eye-catching video — exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience,” the text read. “That audience was soon exposed to the extreme darkness of the muse/rapper, as he led millions of music fans down a road that glorified a demonstrably nihilistic worldview.”
